#GoodNews: Stranger Alerts Woman of Cancer

Melissa Albin was at a park playing with her children near her home in Lyndhurst, Ohio when she noticed a stranger watching her intently.

“Finally she came up to me and she said, ‘I’m really sorry if this is weird, but I’ve been looking at the mole on the back of your arm and I’m wondering if you ever had it checked out. I’m a dermatologist and I think you need to go get it checked as soon as possible.’”

Melissa went to the doctor and a biopsy revealed the mole was melanoma, the deadliest type of skin cancer. Fortunately, they caught it early and it hadn’t spread. The doctor called the stranger a “savior” for bringing the mole to Melissa’s attention
