Adult film star Chloe Amour revealed that she sold her likeness to an artificial intelligence company in order to work less.
Amour, 33, who's based in Las Vegas, is following a growing trend of adult film stars utilizing AI to maintain their presence online.
โWhen I chat with my fans directly, sometimes thereโs things that they want to talk about with me, or thereโs things that they want from me that I might not be able to give them,โ she toldย the Daily Mail. โBut through AI, they have the same likeness of me, and itโs like I can be everything that they want me to be in a sense.โ
โItโs very transparent because theyโre aware that this is AI, itโs not me physically behind the device communicating with you โ you know that youโre paying for,โ Amour added.
The 33-year-old said she was approached by an AI company with an offer to create a virtual counterpart and she provided photos, videos and personal details to make her AI version as lifelike as possible. Last year, social media influencer Caryn Marjorie revealed that she made more than $70,00 in one week for her "virtual girlfriend" AI-powered chatbot.
Marjorie said she wanted to offer the voice-based CarynAI to "cure loneliness." CarynAI, which offers "private, personalized conversations" with an AI version of Marjorie, according to its website, has already gone viral and earned the influencer more than $71,610 in revenue after one week of beta testing, with more than 1,000 users accessing the chatbot at a price of $1 per minute, Fortune.com reported.
