Elle King and Miranda Lambert have released a new song!
Friday (February 26) saw the premiere of another collaboration from former tourmates, King and Lambert, with the arrival of âDrunk (And I Donât Wanna Go Home),â a fun, upbeat ditty that fans can sing and dance along to. This time, the country singers delivered a party anthem all about living your best life on the spur of the moment.
On the trackâs exhilarating chorus, Lambert and King sing: âSo bartender, take my keys / So what do you want from me? / Baby, I'm drunk and I don't wanna go home / Not staying in to fight / Iâm staying out all night / Baby, I'm drunk and I don't wanna go home / We don't gotta wait until the weekend / There's always time for jumping off the deep end / So don't you wait up tonight / Don't worry, I'll be fine / Baby, I'm drunk and I don't wanna go home, yeah.â
In addition to the trackâs release, the pair also accompanied its release with an â80s-themed music video for âDrunk,â which depicts King as a just-married bride and Lambert as one of her bridesmaids.
As aforementioned, this isnât the songbirdsâ first rodeo in the way of making music together. Lambert enlisted King for her all-female version of âFooled Around And Fell In Loveâ alongside fellow songstresses like Ashley McBryde and Maren Morris.
Speaking of recording her new song with Lambert, King wrote on Instagram, âI had so much fun collaborating and working with @mirandalambert on this bad ass song written by me and the legend @thenightgame đ€ Get ready to party to this one!!â
