With a majority vote Yay The Austin City Council approved a measure for all businesses to offer 8 paid sick days throughout a year. The way you earn those sick days, For every 30 hours you work, you earn 1 hour of sick pay leave. It also paves the way for employers not to be able to ask for a Dr's note unless you miss 3 consecutive days of work from any specific illness.
