The park is actually being moved according to a press release sent out last year by Hope Gallery to 9507 Sherman Road on Carson Creek Ranch in east Austin which is close to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Historic Landmark commission voted unanimously 8-0 that this park has no historic significance and that they want to knock it down. Many Austinites are not happy about it, because his has significance to many. It was a big thing for kids growing up and now they are 20 and 30 and are quite unhappy about this situation because they voted without real discussion with the community. What do you think?
