Women are "marrying down" more than ever.

A new survey just out from the Pew Research Center shows for the first time the percentage of women marrying a man with less education is greater than the percentage of men marrying a woman with less education.

It's still close, 21 percent to 20 percent, but cultural experts expect the gap to widen more. Back in 1960 only 7 percent of women "married down" educationally.

The numbers have been rising over the years as women surpass men in college graduation rates.

However, even though they're moving ahead of men in education, 58 percent of women still earned less money than men as of 2012.
