MANHATTAN BEACH (CNS) - Police have released a composite sketch of a man wanted for molesting a boy in a restroom stall at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach.
The Manhattan Beach molestation occurred at about 2:10 p.m. Friday at the park in the 1600 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard, police say.
The boy walked alone into the men's restroom at the park ``where he was accosted by the suspect, who forced him into a restroom stall and fondled his genitals,'' said Manhattan Beach police Detective Traci Navarrette.
"The victim fled the restroom and reported the incident to a parent,'' Navarrette said.
The suspect was described as a deeply tanned white man in his 40s or possibly older. He was about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build, and short, ``mostly gray'' dark hair, police said. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants.
In next-door Hermosa Beach, a 13-year-old boy reported a similar crime April 16 in Valley Park, but he later told police he made up the story, the Daily Breeze reported.
Anyone with more information about the suspect in the Polliwog Park case was asked to call Navarrette at (310) 802-5125 or 911. All tips can be made anonymously.
