Another world leader has replaced President Obama on top of the Forbes list of most powerful people on the planet.

The president topped the list last year, but since then Vladimir Putin has solidified his control over Russia and takes the number one spot.

Forbes says President Obama has suffered some setbacks to his prestige over the government shutdown and international issues like Syria, and the editors decided that moves him down to number two.

At number three is the President of China with control over 1 point 3 billion people. Pope Francis and German Chancellor Angela Merkel round out the top five.
