MORENO VALLEY, Calif. (AP) — The FBI has subpoenaed a broad range of records from the Riverside County city of MorenoValley, where officials have been targeted in a corruption probe.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports that the grand-jury subpoenas comesix months after the FBI raided the homes of City Council members and hours before the council was set to consider changing its record-destroying schedule.

City Manager Jane Halstead says the subpoenas served by FBI investigators Tuesday are for more than two dozen categories of records, including all documents related to development projects that have been approved or await approval by the City Council or planning commission.

The record-destruction item was pulled from the council agenda.

Prosecutors have said a regional task force is investigating possible influence-peddling, campaign violations and political corruption in MorenoValley.
