HEMET (CNS) - The bodies of a woman and a girl were found Saturday night inside what's believed to be a residence in an unincorporated area outside Hemet city limits, a Riverside County sheriff's deputy said.
The discovery was reported at 9:16 p.m. in the 26000 block of Girard Street, said Riverside County sheriff's Dep. Michael Vasquez.
"A reporting party said there were two individuals down within what we believe is a residence, with injuries,'' Vasquez said. "Deputies confirmed two females were deceased.'' One of the deceased was a woman and one was a girl.
The double-homicide may be linked to an earlier attack in the 40000 block of Sunset Lane, in East Hemet, according to Vasquez.
At 8:13 p.m. a woman was transported to a hospital with an injury to her neck area, Vasquez said. A possible suspect was in custody in connection with that incident. "Central Homicide has been called out to both scenes.''
