Rubik's Cube Champion Named King [REALITY CHECK]

Australian teen Feliks Zemdegs, 17, has been named the Rubik’s Cube World Champ for 2013. In a three-day competition with 575 competitors from all over the globe, Feliks proved to be the best!

The competition took place in Las Vegas at the Riviera Hotel & Casino. Approximately 15 official Rubix cubing events were held and Zemedegs scored the fastest averages time of 8.18 seconds for the classic 3x3 cube. He was awarded $3,000 in prize money.

Some non-traditional events were the “cube blindfold” and the “solve it with your feet” competitions!
